The whole of Spain erupted with joy as the national side reached the World Cup final for the first time ever with a 1-0 win over Germany — and the fiesta looked set to last all through the night.

"It's over! We are in the final of the World Cup! It's historic, what joy!" shouted a commentator from the television channel La Cuatro as the final whistle went.

"It's not a dream, Spain is in the final!" the Madrid daily ABC said on its website.

A cacophony of firecrackers, vuvuzelas, car horns and cheers rang out across Madrid, where Spanish red and gold flags adorn balconies, roofs and bars.

Thousands of ecstatic fans sang and waved flags outside Real Madrid's Bernabeu stadium where the match was broadcast on giant screens.

The crowd shouted "Yes, yes, yes, this year, yes!" and "I am Spanish, Spanish, Spanish!" to celebrate the win, which takes Spain into the final against Holland on Sunday.

"We're euphoric, we deserved to win," said Julia, 17.

Spain "opened up the match" and "had far more chances than Germany," said Juan Sierra, 17.

Spain "dominated the match and in the second half the German team was already tired, and with the changes we made we were fresher," said Tomas Vasquez, a 41-year-old father who was watching the game with his son.

Carles Puyol's 73rd-minute goal was greeted with red smoke from firecrackers.

The city was earlier gripped with excitement and anticipation ahead of what sports newspaper AS said was "the match of our lives".

The streets were empty ahead of the game as residents rushed home or into bars to watch the game.

Police also set up barriers around the fountain in the Spanish capital's Plaza Cibeles, where Real fans traditionally celebrate their victories.

Almost all towns and cities throughout the country installed giant screens for people to watch the match.

One notable exception was in Barcelona, the capital of the nationalist-minded region of Catalonia, even though seven players in Spain's starting line-up for Wednesday's game are from the Barcelona team.

"The best team, Spain, qualified for the final," radio Cadena Ser said on its website.

The Catalan daily La Vanguardia said "Spain achieved world glory" by beating Germany so easily.

But while most people in Spain were ecstatic, one corner of the country was in despair, as tens of thousands of German tourists in a Majorcan beach resort were left with broken hearts.

Cries of "Nein!" (No!) erupted throughout Playa de Palma, a traditionally German resort in the Balearic island, as Puyol scored.

But after the final whistle, glum faces and a few moments of stunned silence were quickly followed by music, including a German version of "Viva Espana!", fireworks and more glasses of beer.

"We lost to Spain in Euro 2008, now we've lost to them in the World Cup. Twice in important matches is too much," complained Judith, an 18-year-old German tourist in the Deutsche Eck (German Corner) bar and restaurant.

"Now we have to at least beat Uruguay for third place," she said, a garland in Germany's red, yellow and black colours round her neck.

"If we'd had (suspended player Thomas) Mueller, we wouldn't have lost," said her boyfriend Pierre, also 18, wrapped in a German flag.

In sweltering heat, Germans crammed into overflowing bars and restaurants along the Playa de Palma beach to watch the match.

Majorca is nicknamed 'Germany's 17th Land' because of the millions of tourists from that country who visit every year.

Good News! Aid Dependence is Decreasing!

The number of Somalis needing aid has fallen by more than half a million because of increased food production, mostly in the south of the Horn of Africa state, a survey showed on Thursday.

In August last year 3.76 million people, about half the population, needed humanitarian aid. But a report by the U.N.’s Food Security and Nutrition Analysis Unit (FSNAU) said the number in need had now been reduced to 3.2 million.

Google Fixes Gmail Emails to Blogger Issue of Unable to Send Email to Blogger or My BLog

If you are like me, you are one of millions of Google's Blogger users who email their blogs straight to their blogs via a secret Blogger emails.

Issue: Blogger not receiving Emails from Gmail

There was an issue with blogger not receiving the emails sent from Gmail recently where Gmail was returning undeliverable mail errors. I blogged on this last week hoping someone would know why this was happening. Some bloggers suggested that we go Settings and resave the settings on Gmail but that did not work for me.

So I got back to blogging the hard way. That is using blogger's Compose form. Unfortunately, doing so might seem regular for bloggers with one or two blogs. But If you run many blogs like I do, you cannot update them regularly without emailing your blogs.

Resolved: Google Fixes Gmail to Blogger Emails

So I stayed off from emailing my blogs for a few days. Yes, I did miss some posts as I couldn't update all my blogs in a regular fashion. Today I tested to see if the issue is still pending. Thank god, my first email went through fine! Just like before. It seems Google quietly ironed out the rinkles without making a big fuss out of it. I didn't check the Blogger's blog so I don't know if they have acknowledged the problem with Blogger not receiving emails sent from Gmail, however, that seems to be history now. Thanks to Google's effortless work to fix problems with their system.

I hope this has not been inconvenient for you as it was for me!

How to record streamed music and videos and to your computer?

Today I will to teach you something new to most of you. Ok, wait, maybe it is only new to some of you because this is being around for sometime. But it is still relatively new and that's why those of us who are not Internet savvy or a techie did not figure it out yet. I am talking about getting the Music and the other Media on the web copied to your computer. So lets set the objective of this article straight. After going through this reading, you will know how to save any video from Youtube. You will also understand the technologies behind the media you will be dealing with. If you get anything out of this article, let it be that you can save those favorite videos of yours from Youtube and other similar web sites into your computer so you can either store them in a CD or just keep them for any other purpose.

Introduction to Youtube.

I will concentrate on the Youtube example, but I will try to show you other examples later if possible, to make it easier for beginners because Youtube is probably the most famous web sites ever, of course after Google web site. Don't argue on that statement, and of course it is not an important point of the lesson here. Any ways, the background on Youtube is that it is a video sharing web site. This means if I upload a video and you get to see that video as well as other millions of users can watch the same video at the same time. So, it is simply a storage for virtually unlimited number of videos.

Until recently, Youtube users only either uploaded videos on Youtube or watched what others had uploaded. But nowadays, there are numerous ways to also download videos from Youtube with the help of computer programs.

Using Programs to download Videos

The best method I discovered so far is to use RealPlayer, which is one of the most popular media players out there in the market. If you haven't heard the name, then you probably spent the last decade or so in a deserted Island where there is no Internet connection. No pun intended!

If you are familiar with RealPlayer, go and download the latest version at the Real Networks web site. The version I use, which is the only one that will allow streaming media downloading, is v11.03, apparently the latest one. This is a free program unless you want to buy it for more additional commercial features.

Once you have downloaded Real Player, you need to install it, then you can start downloading. Of course I will walk you through the necessary steps to perform the task I mentioned here. So, sit back and read more. Now look, I know this article can get lengthy and you may not have time to read it all at once, so I recommend you Add to Favorites,

How to download Real Player

The steps of downloading RealPlayer 11.03 involves visiting the download web site and then registering with Real Networks (Free Registration) and then when provided with the download link opening the link and saving the download file into your computer.

Go to Real Player Download Link
Under Basic Player heading click on Get Your Player --> button
Once the File Download box shows up on your screen click on Save button
Select the desired folder you want to save the RealPlayer Installation program
Click on Open button again. Internet Explorer will start the download.

Installing RealPlayer v11.03

Once the download finishes, Internet Explorer will prompt you whether or not you want to run the program or open the folder containing it. Click on Run button to start installing it. Some time during the Installation, RealPlayer program will ask you if you want to activate the option to download Streaming Media from the Internet so you need to check the box that says Yes.

That is it.

How to Download the Videos On Youtube

You now have RealPlayer v11.03 installed and ready to download any video. Whenever you start watching a video, RealPlayer media recording function will start and ask you if you want to download the video.

Click on Download This Vidoe Button
Allow the RP Download Manager to finish downloading

Now to Find the vidoe,

Start Real Player
Click on My Library
Select Downloaded Recordings

You should then see a list of the videos you have downloaded onto Real Player. Please remember that all Youtube videos are in .flv format which is the standard Flash Player format.

From here on, what you do with the videos you have downloaded is up to you! However, I will try to explain how you can move it your mobile phone or burn it into a CD to watch it on your VCD/DVD/Vidx player. But all that in due time.

Rule #1. Belief you can

The most important step is understanding that you can earn as much as a full time job would pay you, or even more if you really put an effort to it. If you have been researching a way to make money online, there are some simple Internet Income Source tips and solutions that you can follow. But the fact is, you can get income from different programs with a little effort.

Rule #2 - Positive Attitude

When you work 9 to 5 for years and years, you are basically brain washed into thinking that there is no other way to earn a living. If you are still getting paid weekly or biweekly wages, but know that there is got to be way out of this unfortunate loop you call working life, I feel your pain because I too have been sitting around for years trying to come up with a solution to get away from the daily 9-5 grind, and did. Pay off those loans you've been dragging for years; student loans, home mortgages etc.

Basically, you have to have the belief that you can achieve this success online and get started.
